I've been around. I was a geeky nerdy techy kid, long before most other 'geeky nurdy techy' kids had there first Ipad ... or ... laptop ... or ... Mac ... or ... PC ... or ... Amega ... or ... C64 ... or ... Apple II ... or ... TRS80 ... or ... Super Elf ... or ... Altar.

Yep my first 'toy' computer was an Sperry Univac.

Yes I've programmed 360's in assembly.
Yes I've programmed PDP8's in Basic
Yes I've programmed PDP11's in C
Yes I've programmed TI's in Fortran IV
Yes I've programmed Crays in Fortran 7
Yes I've ported original X Windows apps to Convex's and to a Sperry ET10-G
Yes I've written a programming language which others are still using to this day
Yes I know what YACC means.
Yes I can read a sendmail.mx file and gleam meaning.
Yes I worked on things that flew to Mars and other places in space. (Some even worked)


Does any of the above impress?

Well it shouldn't!

It's just from a lifetime of always wanting to see a bit more of tomorrow than I can see today.


What SHOULD impress,

I have two wonderful children.
I have a spectacular wife.
I have two puppies that I let live, even though they take up too much of the bed.

Now that's impressive!
