Jews were expelled by oppressive laws, stripped of their property without recourse, or sympathy from the world (unlike Palestinians who have plenty of sympathy and received many times the value of their properly back in the form of unending aid, if only they used that to resettle where they are now)

They spent years living in tents and cinder block cubes as Israel struggled to resettle them. But the struggling Israeli government (Not meaningfully supported by the US government or anyone else, in those early years) manged to educate and integrate them into the evolving Israeli identity.

There was even a period of time when there was a fair amount of discrimination from the 'older' Israelis against the new comers who seen as a bit pathetic. A common human reaction due to instinctive human flaws, we see in many countries facing similar in-pouring of new immigrants.

This last point, while a bit shameful, is also important, Israel was being overwhelmed by the number of new immigrants, who came in much faster than they really where prepared for. So the lies about the Israeli government using false flag terrorist tactics (bombs?) to 'scare Jews to immigrate', while commons fodder for conspiracy boards, is clearly fake. At that time, the Israeli government wanted immigration to slow down
